The model 601 Aerostar is the “Hot Rod” of all the Aerostar models and Aerostars are truly the “sports car” of the light twin aircraft.  The 601 is a six place, cabin class, turbocharged, 25,000 foot service ceiling, with a 237 knots cruise speed aircraft.

N44AQ has been the “company” aircraft since 1998.  People always ask why I am selling N44AQ.  I like Aerostars and simply put, I bought a 601P.

 

N44AQ has 290 HP turbonormalized (max man = 29.5 “hg) Lycoming engines with an 1800 Hr. TBO.  The engines are at 1803 Hrs. currently and are first run out, available for rebuilding.  Everyone has their own opinions about field rebuilds, factory rebuilt, and factory remanufactured engines.  This aircraft is available for $95,000.00 today to flyaway.  Or subject to contractual agreement, I will make the aircraft available with Lycoming factory rebuilt engines, installed at The Flight Shop for $183,000.00.
